You can't trust anyone anymore

Okay, the title is maybe a bit exaggerated.

I am just frustrated right now and need to vent.
Today I got a call from a number in the UK. Since I was in a meeting, I had to reject it. But if I had been available, I probably would have taken it. I have a colleague in England who has my private number - and it could have been an emergency. After I finished my meeting, I checked and it wasn't my colleague. It was most likely a scam call.
So I searched for scam calls with the country code +44 and yes, we are experiencing a wave of scam calls with that particular country code.

So far I haven't fallen for a scam call or any other scheme. But let's face it, it's only a matter of time before I don't react properly and lose money and, worse, my dignity.

But every time I get one of these calls or messages, I get a little more annoyed. Because I am confirmed in my general distrust in ... everyone. Every stranger who attempts to contact me is either a scammer (dangerous) or someone trying to sell me something (annoying). And if I am in danger, so are all the people close to me. Some of them are already struggling without some scumbags making their lives even worse.

Alright, rant over. Please be careful with your information, folks.
