I finally rewrote my website in Remix with a pocketbase backend. Not because it was necessary, but because I always wanted to try out pocketbase as a replacement for the horrible .mdx file handling I had to do for those notes. It's pretty awesome how simple it is to get a simple database and auth system up and running.
Also I went away from Netlify and instead self-host this site on a cheap VPS with coolify for automated deployments. It really gets more and more simple by the week to self-host your stuff without compromising on functions and comfort.
